Here are a few of the Wedding images from the other weekend.
I'm really pleased with them and the reaction from the Bride was brilliant - she was so happy!
I really like making people happy with my photographs, it makes it so much rewarding to see and hear such a positive reaction.
Overall, I prefer the black and white images to the colour ones - they seem so much more romantic and intimate.
There are a few additional shots I would have like to have taken but due to time restrictions, it wasn't possibe. The weather also didn't want to make up its mind which wasn't too helpful but being overcast meant that the light wasn't too over powering which made photographing the dress much easier.

Children's Portraits: Lizzie & Zack
Here are a couple of images from the first of the Children's Portrait sessions that I did the other weekend.
I was told that Lizzie wouldn't have her photograph taken at play school as she is very shy, so its nice to know that I'm not too intrusive or intimidatng as she was quite willing to allow me to take her photograph.
Overall, I'm quite happy with these images although its a shame that Zack looks a bit unhappy in a few of the shots, but I think this is just because he is so young.
I definatley prefer the black and white options though. I just think they are a bit softer than the colour ones and just feel more natural. The children were in quite bright clothing and I feel that it was perhaps a bit too much. i can tone the colours down a bit, but I don't want the images to look dull or flat.
I did a few shots of the whole family too. These are ok, but it would have been nice if it had been sunny so we could have taken some in the garden as I'm not too happy with the poses. Again, I am aware that this is some what out of my control though when you are limited on space, locations and working with children of such a young age.

More Computer Problems!
Aaaaaaaaaah! My laptop monitor has died now! I don't think computers like me at the moment.
I'm not going to be able to get a new computer for about a month and this is causing chaos for me.
At least I have found a temporary solution...I am running my laptop off my pc monitor for the time being so at least I can still do some work.

Computer Nightmare!
Well I'm having a great day - my pc has just died!
I'm so glad I save everything on an external hard drive and keep it all backed up or I would really be at a loss right now.
So, I'm back on my laptop...only problem is that it too likes to be difficult!
The screen won't calibrate properly and I'm don't have Lightroom, my printer or FTP uploader on here which leaves me rather stuck.
I can't afford a new pc right now either so things are going to be rather slow for a while. It has come at a really bad time too as I have lots of work at the moment.
I've also lost the book that I have been working on for the last month and I don't think my laptop will handle the software to start it again.
At least I still have photoshop and I managed to update some of my website earlier this week.
Fingers crossed I will be able to get the pc fixed soon!

Hectic Weekend
This weekend has been rather manic and now I have tons of work to do. I went home to the Cotswolds on Friday afternoon but didn't have chance to see much of it!
On Saturday, it was my friend's wedding. She looked so beautiful in her dress and although the weather wasn't amazing, it could have been much, much worse. We managed to get the group shots in just before the rain started but it didn't dampen any spirits.
On Sunday, I had 2 portrait sessions - one, a family with two young children and then another session after with two more children. This was a lot trickier than with the shoot last week as the children were a lot younger - a couple of them were too young to pose and understand what was going on but the results were again quite pleasing.
I'm still processing the images as I only came home on Monday so images will follow shortly.

Children's Portraits: Brendon
I have recently taken some portraits of our neighbours little boy. I don't have a great deal of experience photographing children so this made a nice change. He was ever so good and a wonderful little poser which made it a lot easier to get some good shots and his cheeky personality really shines through.
I'm really pleased with the results and I have a couple more portrait sessions this weekend and I hope the results are just as good.
