WEDDING: Kate & WIll at the Pittville Pumproom, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire

Kate and Will's were married at the Pittville Pumproom in Cheltenham and I had the pleasure of being their wedding photographer.
It was a military wedding, so I am only able to show you a small selection of the photographs to ensure that the military personnel are not identifiable.

Kate looked absolutely stunning in her elegant dress and I just had to share them with you!

What Lights Beneath

In the past, I have experimented with different kinds of low light photography and I particularly enjoy light painting. This is something that takes quite a bit of practice and there are so many different light sources available and different effects that can be produced. I find that light painting works best at a location where features around you can be lit up and brought out of the darkness, adding some interest to the photograph, so I chose to do these test shots in the arches beneath an old bridge.

I have both of these light sources for light painting before but I have never combined them with flash, so this was the challenge of the evening. I wasn't looking for perfect light trails and patterns as this was for experimental purposes only but I was quite pleased with the results so thought I would share them with you.

Homemade Goodies

Every Christmas, I do my best to make some of my presents and this year was no exception. Although the chocolate itself wasn't handmade by me from scratch, I did flavour, decorate and mould it as I did last year but I was slightly more adventurous this time and included gold chocolates as well as peppermint creams (which were quite fiddly to do)!
I also made shortbread - plain, chocolate chip and cranberry flavoured. These were all presented in little bags with ribbon that read 'handmade with love'.

Christmas Chocolates & Shortbread

As my nephew would be visiting round new year (he's only 2), I thought it would also be nice to make some cakepops. These went down a treat and he couldn't get enough or them (nor could my sister...)!

Cakepops!

I have a few different ideas for next Christmas but I'm afraid I won't be sharing them just yet...

As I was rather pushed for time, all of the photos in this post are just snaps from my phone so they don't do the food as much justice as they should!
